Stylish Winter Wedding at The Bugle House

A Stylish Winter Wedding at The Bugle House

We’re so excited to feature Alyce & Ryan’s stunning winter wedding at The Bugle House. This real wedding feature is full of gorgeous details and inspiration. Scroll on to see how they made the most of our luxury exclusive-use wedding venue in Southampton for a beautifully stylish winter celebration.

Winter weddings have a certain atmosphere. The darker evenings, candlelight, seasonal flowers and a little more drama. Alyce and Ryan’s November wedding at The Bugle House brought all of that together beautifully. With a stylish black and white colour palette, gorgeous winter florals and a celebration that moved effortlessly from an intimate ceremony to one seriously good party.

From the night before through to the last dance, the whole wedding took place at The Bugle House, making the most of our seven boutique bedrooms and all the different spaces across the townhouse.

A Wedding Morning with the Girls

The celebrations started before the wedding day itself, with Alyce and her bridal party staying at The Bugle House the night before. The next morning was exactly how a wedding morning should be. The bridal squad took over the bedrooms, with the brilliant bridal hair & makeup team on hand while everyone enjoyed those precious hours together.

There were photos on the beds, plenty of getting-ready excitement and all the little moments that make the morning feel so special. No rushing between locations. Just Alyce, her girls and the anticipation building as the day got closer.

The bridesmaids looked effortlessly chic in sleek black dresses, adding a modern edge to the winter styling and tying beautifully into the day’s elegant monochrome palette. For the evening celebrations and photographs, the girls added beautiful shoulder jackets and touches of faux fur, bringing an extra layer of winter style to their looks. The textures looked gorgeous against the white bridal flowers and the classic white exterior of The Bugle House.

Then there was our beautiful bride. Alyce looked effortlessly chic in her modern wedding dress by Catherine Deane. The sleek halterneck silhouette, beautiful silk fabric and elegant detailing gave the dress a contemporary feel that suited her perfectly. The perfect bridal dress for a stylish winter wedding.

An Intimate Ceremony in Grace’s Room

Alyce and Ryan chose Grace’s Room for their wedding ceremony, with their closest family and friends gathered around them. The winter light pouring through the full-length windows looked gorgeous against the monochrome styling, keeping the room feeling bright and airy.

The fireplace became the main focal point, filled with masses of seasonal white flowers and finished with soft LED candlelight for a warm glow. Little details made the space feel theirs completely too, including reserved seating tags for their immediate family.

With its high ceilings, statement windows and plenty of character, Grace’s Room was the perfect setting for their stylish winter ceremony at The Bugle House. A beautiful Southampton wedding venue for couples looking for something modern, personal and a little different.

It was an intimate and heartfelt ceremony, followed by that all-important “you’re officially married” moment. Of course, there was the confetti moment. A signature part of getting married at The Bugle House. Surrounded by their favourite people, Alyce and Ryan left their ceremony with a brilliant shower of confetti and plenty of smiles.

Drinks, Canapés & Solent Views

From the ceremony, it was straight into a drinks reception in Grace’s bar. Guests enjoyed cocktails, chilled bottled beers, wines and some of Alyce and Ryan’s favourite drinks before spilling out onto the terrace and courtyard to enjoy the winter air.

The Little Kitchen Company kept everyone well looked after with a selection of delicious bite-sized canapés, perfect for enjoying alongside a drink while catching up with friends and family.

And then there was the view. With the Solent just beyond The Bugle House, the terrace and courtyard offered plenty of opportunities for photographs, from relaxed group shots to those lovely in-between moments with the newlyweds.

Black, White & Seriously Stylish

Then came the reveal of Wonderland.

This stunning ballroom-inspired space was styled in a sophisticated black-and-white palette. Chic white flowers, soft chiffon table runners and plenty of LED candles brought the tablescape to life. Wonderland looked modern, elegant and perfect for a winter wedding dinner.

The styling looked sophisticated without feeling too formal, and the monochrome palette worked beautifully against the light-filled Wonderland space.

The newlyweds certainly knew how to make an entrance. Alyce and Ryan made their way into the room to a huge cheer from their guests, with everyone on their feet and ready to celebrate. There were brilliant speeches, plenty of laughter and a delicious three-course meal, creating the perfect setting for an elegant winter wedding celebration.

From Dinner to Dance Floor

Guests headed back into Grace’s Room, which had been transformed for the evening party, and what a party it was.

The elegant ceremony space took on a completely different energy as the music started, the dancing began, and the celebrations carried on late into the evening.

Later, Alyce and Ryan headed outside with their wedding party for photographs and sparklers in the courtyard. One of those simple winter wedding moments that looks even better against the white exterior of The Bugle House.

It was the perfect end to a day that had moved through so many different moods, all within the same venue.

A Winter Wedding at The Bugle House

One of the things we love most about an exclusive-use wedding venue in Southampton is being able to give couples the freedom to make the whole house their own.

For Alyce and Ryan, that meant staying with their closest friends and family the night before, getting ready together in the morning, saying their vows in Grace’s Room, enjoying drinks in the courtyard, dining in Wonderland and ending the night with dancing, drinks and sparklers.

Every space had its moment. The black-and-white styling showed just how different The Bugle House can look depending on the couple, the season and the way the spaces are dressed.

If you’re planning a winter wedding in Southampton or Hampshire, don’t be afraid to embrace the season. A winter wedding can be seriously stylish.
