February at The Bugle House was all about celebrating love. Not just romantic love, but friendship, connection, and the power of bringing incredible women together. The Galentine’s Gala, hosted by She Connects, a Hampshire-based network for ambitious, like-minded women, was a true reflection of what we do best as one of the leading venues for events in Southampton. 

Designed to bring women together in a space that felt both elevated and welcoming, the evening celebrated confidence, community, and genuine connection. It was an event we were incredibly proud to host! Not only because of what it stood for, but because it brought together an exceptional team of suppliers to create something truly special.

It’s something that aligns so naturally with what we value at The Bugle House. Creating spaces where people feel welcome, inspired, and able to enjoy the moment truly. Being trusted to host an event like this felt incredibly special, and we were so proud to open our doors to such a meaningful and uplifting evening.

Working alongside an exceptional team of suppliers, some of the very best across Hampshire, the entire event came together beautifully. From the moment guests arrived, there was a real sense that this was going to be something special.

A Celebration for Women of All Ages

One of the most inspiring elements of the evening was the guest list itself. With women attending from their early 20s through to their mid-80s, the event brought together a truly incredible mix of ages, backgrounds, and stories. All united by a shared sense of connection and celebration.

This wasn’t just a Galentine’s event; it was a celebration of empowerment, friendship, and community in its most genuine form.

A Beautiful Welcome in The Wonderland

Guests were welcomed into The Wonderland with a drinks reception that immediately set the tone for the evening, greeted with rosé Provence prosecco by Apres Provence. Guests were met with beautifully curated backdrops and photo moments. 

Part of The Wonderland had been transformed into a beautifully styled private dining space, with two long tablescapes welcoming guests into the room. The design felt both elegant and playful. A celebration of love brought to life through thoughtful detail.

Soft whites were layered with rich reds and deep burgundy tones, creating depth and warmth across the room. Lush roses added a romantic feel, while cherries placed throughout the tablescape brought a fun and unexpected twist. It felt stylish, considered, and full of personality.

Private Dining at The Bugle House 

Food played a key role in the evening, with a bespoke three-course menu curated by She Connects. The starter and main were created by the incredible team at Earth Catering, delivering dishes that were as beautifully presented as they were delicious, perfectly complementing the setting.

Dessert was a standout moment. A chocolate bonbon lollipop by Heavenly Desserts was displayed with real attention to detail. This dessert, created for the Galentine’s Gala was fun, indulgent, and a talking point at every table. It was the perfect finish to the dining experience, and one guest genuinely loved. This was paired with a signature espresso martini by Mermaid Gin, the evening’s sponsored cocktail, creating the perfect balance of sweet and sharp.

Cocktails & The Party 

After a delicious dining experience, guests made their way upstairs, where the atmosphere shifted from elegant dining to full celebration mode. As they arrived in Grace’s Room, they were greeted with a signature cocktail by Mermaid Gin, setting the tone for what would become an unforgettable party.

The transition between spaces was just as considered as the event itself. The staircase was dressed with a stunning balloon installation in soft pinks and rich reds. This pink and red themed flowed throughout the Bugle House, the perfect Galentine’s colour palette.

Upstairs, every space had been thoughtfully designed to offer something different. Reverie provided a more intimate setting, hosting a tarot card reading experience for guests looking for something a little more relaxed and reflective. In contrast, the bar area of Grace’s Room featured a beautifully styled photobooth by Delights Party Photography, creating a fun and stylish space for guests to capture the night.

The Party in Graces

The Graces  itself had been completely transformed. A striking black and white dance floor, DJ booth, and a statement love heart backdrop created a real focal point. The kind of setup that instantly draws people in and sets the energy for the night ahead.

With production and lighting by Yolk Productions, the space felt immersive and full of atmosphere, shifting effortlessly as the evening unfolded. The dance floor quickly filled, led by incredible live performances from Claire Sax and Jodie Music, whose collaboration brought a vibrant, feel-good energy that kept guests dancing all night.

From that moment on, the pace didn’t drop. Guests moved between spaces, drinks in hand, dancing, celebrating, and making the most of every moment. Exactly what a night at The Bugle House is all about.

Every detail, from the styling and florals to the music, drinks, and overall experience, was delivered to an incredibly high standard. It was a joy to see so many talented creatives come together to create something that felt so cohesive, considered, and genuinely fun.
